Are there plans to split Evolution's calendar off?  Has it already been
done?  It could potentially be called 'libecal,' or 'libevocal,' and the
library could be used to build external interfaces to the calendar.  If
there was a public web interface, you could have friends block off time
on your calendar by logging on to your calendar page at your ISP.  Or
there could be a http://isp.com/ecal CGI that applications could POST to
or GET XML representations of each user's calendar from.  This could be
a response to the MANY requests I've seen for distributed calendaring
systems.
