[Evolution-hackers] Can't compile gtkhtml 3.0.8

Hi !
I'm a fully satisfied user of Evo 1.2.4, and new to this list.

I want to build Evo 1.4.4 on Mandrake 9.0.
I have compiled and installed all the required dependencies (libsoup,
gal, libdb, etc...), except gtkhtml 3.0.8, wich I can't compile. Here is
the error message :

./.libs/libgtkhtml-3.0.so: undefined reference to
`e_iconv_locale_language'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [gtest] Erreur 1
make[2]: Quitte le répertoire `/home/nico/gtkhtml-3.0.8/src'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Erreur 1
make[1]: Quitte le répertoire `/home/nico/gtkhtml-3.0.8'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Erreur 2

I've tried to use gtkhtml 3.0.1 (wich is the only version I can compile
without any problem), and, as the Evo's configure wants only 3.0.8, I've
faked my pkgconfig/libgtkhtml-3.0.pc, so that 3.0.1 seems to be 3.0.8
for Evo's configure. Then, Evo compile and install well, but of course,
displaying of messages doesn't work, because of a libgtkhtml error :

/opt/gnome2/bin/evolution: relocation error: /opt/gnome2//lib/evolution/1.4/components/libevolution-mail.so: undefined symbol: gtk_html_set_animate

I think that this error won't happen with the _real_ gtkhtml 3.0.8

So I need your help for compiling gtkhtml 3.0.8, or for right using
another gtkhtml version, without faking. I haven't find any configure
option about gtkhtml in Evo's sources...

Thank you very much for your help,

Nicolas.
