There is not any dmg as far as I know. He is using Hombrew (https://brew.sh/) and the Formulae I linked to install evince on macOS.

There isn't any dmg for Evince. However, a user, Lucas Ribeiro, reported to the list that he was able to build it on El Capitan using the Homebrew package manager [1].
