[evince] digital signatures in evince

Dear evince developers,

I’m very interested in signing PDF documents with PAdES. Now I have to
use Acrobat in Windows to do it.

I have just read that this is implemented in poppler
(https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16770). Not sure whether
this enables digital signing of PDF documents.

The poppler-glib implementation has a commented patch that hasn’t been
replied in almost a year.

Now I have checked that this would only validate the signature in a PDF
file.

What would be required to enable digital signing in evince?
