[evince] Evince swallows global keys

Using evince 3.10.3 on linux mint/cinnamon I find that global hot keys like audio-stop/start don't work when evince is running. Since evince no long appears to have any settings (the only thing about settings I find is in Edit->Save_Current...Default) I'm wondering if I can check to see if this (and other) keys are set to something in evince?
