Hello, I experience with the latest Ubuntu-version of evince an issue
since years on my Lenovo G550 Notebook.
The time to load some PDFs in both, presentation(!) and scroll mode (not
as bad as in the presentation mode) takes far too long. It takes so long
that it is not even possible to present all slides created with
OpenOffice.

Slide 23 loads slow, while other PDF-viewers like MUpdf are able to load
it faster. I hope you will soon release an update, that solves the
issue.
