Asunto: [evince] evince source code compilation query
Dear All,
I need help as i am trying to find the source code of Evince PDF and i find thislink
https://git.gnome.org/browse/evince/tree/shell/ev-window.c#n2675 Now please tell me is it the complete and
correct source code. ?
And second thing is please tell me how to compile and run it i.e in which software/environment
Aleeha,
The link you provide is only from a file from the source code. The code is in a git repository in
git.gnome.org/jhbuild
Alternatively, you can download stable release from here:
http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/evince/
You can follow this instructions to build Evince from source:
http://jaliste.blogspot.com.es/2013/04/the-jhbuild-experience.html
About the environment, you can use a GNU/Linux distro like Debian, Fedora, OpenSUSE or Ubuntu. Evince also
can be built successfully for Microsoft Windows, but it is much more tricky.
Hope this help you,
-- Juanjo Marín
