[evince] How does Evince extract Typ1C embedded Fonts with custom encoding?

After examine the code of Evince I'm wondering how applications using Poppler (Evins, tc.) are extracting the text content of Typ1C embedded Fonts with custom encodings.

I mean such stuff:
