Is it possible to build evince statically?

Dear list members,

I finally was able to build Evince for Debian Lenny without print dialog.

But I had to install some lib packages that damaged my Lenny install. Here is the list:

From Lenny Backports:

gtk2-engines-pixbuf_2.18.6-1~bpo50+1_i386.deb

libcairo2_1.8.8-2~bpo50+1_i386.deb

libglib2.0-0_2.22.4-1~bpo50+1_i386.deb

libgtk2.0-0_2.18.6-1~bpo50+1_i386.deb

libpixman-1-0_0.16.4-1~bpo50+1_i386.deb

From standard repository:

libopenjpeg2_1.3+dfsg-3_i386.deb

My package:

libpoppler3_0.12.4-backported-1-0_i386.deb

I want to statically link those libs. Is it possible? How can I?
