Great. You're so kind. Thank you very much.  (Hint: this was a cynical
answer. STOP acting like this. You're NOT friendly, and you treat people who
disagree with you as if they are little children. STOP doing that.

So which part of this is impossible to do using "any pdf-to-pixmap" tool and
the Gimp to crop/scale/adjust the image? The Gimp is far superior for image
editing than any custom application with a rectangular selection. Image
editing involves a lot more than just have "an offscreen pixmap".
