Evince on RHEL 5

I'm trying to run evince on an RHEL5 box (using what comes with the 
distribution) and whenever I open up a postscript file I get the 
following message:

gs: Interpreter revision (81502) does not match gs_init.ps revision (854) 


and it just says "loading"


I have a feeling its a ghostscript issue, but can't find any answer to this.
