Hi All. Great work on evince! I love having a free alternative to
Adobe's reader on Linux.
I was angered recently when Adobe Reader refused to save my PDF forms.
I see no good reason (other than Adobe wanting to take my money), why
the form values can't be saved somewhere.
So I checked out evince and noticed that it now has support for forms.
My questions:
* It shouldn't be too hard to save the inputted form values, right?
* Could the form values actually be saved as part of the PDF so I
could open it up in Adobe Reader?
I know from some googling that someone on this list was working on PDF
forms. Have you thought about save functionality yet?
It so happens I am a programmer -- so I would enjoy a discussion about
exactly how such a feature would be implemented and would also lend a
hand. I am vaguely familiar with general concepts of a PDF document.
My C skills aren't awful either.
Tax time is coming up and I want to be able to save my PDF forms!
