Can't read Adobe PDF 1.3 created by Photoshop 6.0

Hello,
Newly installed Mandriva 2007 spring,
quite new to linux and Internet community,
I'm sitting with these PDF files that shows nothing, things that
happened to me in the same way before upgrading from Adobe Reader 4
under Windows.

I would be happy if someone of you angels could tell me if there was a
solution around?
