bugs and suggestions about evince

Hi, Dear Developers of evince

I am a user of evince under linux 2.4 with gnome desktop, debian
distribution.  I find that after a long time opening of pdf file with
evince, it consumes more and more memories. PDF viewer in linux does
better in this respect of stability.

An suggestion: Can the search feature add an backward search option?
It always search forward in the pdf file and a backward search would
be good if I want to search back.
