I regularly have it too (on debian/sid, up-to-date webkit2gtk, epiphany) and today i got it

three times after having launched it with gcc.

It usually happens when i have several epiphany windows open + other gnome apps like

terminal, gedit, AND when i change the focus to another window.

The fact i'm seeing it when launched with gdb seems to be something you don't see often.

Is there a way i can help ?
