Thank you too, Michael. I had trouble with Seahorse as well. Fortunately I have pk11-kit installed but trying the trust option returns: "p11-kit: no configured writable location to store anchors". Can't find anything on that online but will continue reading documentation at freedesktop.org and return any success or failures.

it's broken, or it's too hard for me to figure out. As a workaround, you
have to use the command line. The process varies by distro. On Fedora I
think the magic incantation is:
$ sudo trust anchor /path/to/certificate.crt
Maybe that will work on other distros too. Let us know if that helps.
