Re: Installing Seed extensions

Thanks Magnus, the extension showed up in the the menu.

Unfortunatley after selecting the extension Epiphany stopped working (seg fault), I had to remove the extension in order to get Epiphany to start. I'll try with simpler examples.

Don't you also have to enable it in GConf somewhere?

Enabling it is easiest done in Epiphany itself.

AFAIU the steps below will get the extension listed in the Tools->Extensions
dialogue.

Hello everyone,
I am trying to install a Seed extension in Epiphany 2.28.0, but so far I had no success. The extension I want to install can be found at: http://blogs.gnome.org/racarr/2009/02/08/epiphany-seed-extensions. I've done the following:
1. Copy the metadata information to ~/.gnome2/epiphany/extensions/close-multiple-tabs (the article doesn't mention which name this file should have)

Try calling it close-multiple-tabs.ephy-extension instead.

2. Copy the code to ~/.gnome2/epiphany/extensions/close-multiple-tabs.js

Make sure the file name matches the name mentioned in the .ephy-extension
file.

3. Restart Epiphany
