Seed is Javascript-based. It uses WebKit's Javascript engine, so if
you have any familiarity with the language, you shouldn't have too
much trouble.
http://live.gnome.org/Seed (or email me, I'm one of the Seed devs)
There are a few example extensions... somewhere. I thought they were
in the epiphany repo, but they might not be; if you want them, I'll
find them :-)

Hmm, I recently saw a duplicated bug report about this. Does
anyone feel
inclined to consider adding this to the official Epiphany-extensions
package? (Or maybe rewrite it in Javascript/Seed, in case we're
going to
drop Python support for e-e. Xan, what are your plans?)
I'm not totally sure yet, but it seems more likely than not that
we'll
switch to Seed and drop Python for extensions. Not sure it will
happen
in this cycle though.
I'd miss Python, but then I don't know what Seed is at all. Any
pointers?
