Then I have good "news" for you. :) You can enable the gconf
key /apps/epiphany/general/middle_click_open_url and middle clicking
anywhere in the current webpage will immediately load that URL. (Of
course, this doesn't work with extensions that capture the middle mouse
button.)

There's another workaround for that: open the address entry context menu
and select 'Clear'. That way, the X clipboard won't be affected.
