epiphany to switch to khtml/webkit?

half an hour ago, heise [1], one of the most important german it news
sites, mentioned in an article on the khtml team switching to webkit [2]
that

"webkit is the core not only of [safari], but also of nokia smartphones,
adobe air _and the next version of epiphany, a linux browser for the
gnome desktop environment, which up to now is using mozilla gecko"
<http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/73493>, in Adobe AIR

am i missing something or did they make this up? neither the epiphany
website [3] nor this mailing list said anything on that topic.

regards
chrysn
