action extension..

hello,

 i'm intrigued by the "Action" extension and would like
 to put it to use but cannot find documentation on it.

 thank you in advance for pointing me to a url (mail
 archive or whatever) that describes how to work Actions.

 not exactly sure what to put in for "Command" -- how
 are Page and Image information passed in?  using 
  %s or something like that (like smart bookmarks)??

 also, and separately, today epiphany started to
 behave very strangely:  every time i type the letter
 'x', epiphany starts a new browser window.  that is
 i can no longer type the letter "x".  this is very
 strange.  has anyone experienced this or something
 similar??
