This is a bug with Composite. It happens when you have the x composite
rendering enabled. Epiphany is waiting on a patch from the theme-manager
guys, IIRC.

This is a GTK property, so comments on this being changed should be
filed there.

This is an age old upstream mozilla bug. Dunno what the status is on it
now-a-days.
