Hm, true, but most don't rely on cookies and such, rather relying on
temporary files and so on (a la Sun's JDK download)

OK, I guess I should back off.  I've disabled the downloading interface
in Firefox (which I am using until a certain keyword feature makes it
into Epiphany), so I basically trust that downloads work out fine
without me visually being notified.
