On the one hand, it'd be pretty annoying to ask for confirmation on tab
close, but on the other hand there's a severe dataloss problem here...
not sure what I think. Maybe if we could detect that a web form has been
filled in but not submitted yet, we could ask for confirmation, but not
in other circumstances.

Firebird does this on linux too (although they don't overwrite
middle-click paste buffer). The only thing I'm concerned about is the
middle click paste buffer... but I guess people should just learn to use
explicit copy/paste (C-C/C-V); most people don't know about middle click
anyway probably.
I'm in favour of implementing this before feature freeze.
