How about having a "Downloads" menu in Epiphany that looks like this:

+-----------+
Downloads
+-----------+--------------------+
Open Downloads Folder
Undo last Download      Ctrl+Z
------------------------------
<Most Recent Download>
<2nd Most Recent>
...
<Nth Most Recent>
+--------------------------------+

So it's kind of like the Bookmarks menu, but for Downloads. "Undo Last
Download" would either cancel the most recently started download or delete
the last file downloaded. This way, as long as you used it after pressing
the wrong link and before starting a new download, it would do the right
thing, whether the download was still going on or not. You could name it
"Delete / Cancel Last Download" instead, if that's more intuitive.

Just a thought.
