The tarball seems to be missing the GtkBuilder files (*.ui).
  

You're right. I think the make distclean deleted them (probably something wrong in my Makefile.am, I'll try to look tomorrow). I uploaded it again with the .ui files this time, it should be OK now.

Sure, we can put it into eog-plugins. We haven't managed to do a release
of it yet, but we hopefully do during summer.

I'll look at that tomorrow I hope, I hope to send another mail tomorrow in the evening (depending on free time, I'll see). Thanks for the tips. I have to say at this point autoconf/automake for me is really copy-paste something that works and pray it works for me too.

You might also want to extend the plugin's description in the desktop
file as currently it's not really informative. Just give some hint about
what the plugin does.
  

Did that now normally in the new zip, untested though (but it really shouldn't break anything).

Besides I'm eager to see it in action. :-)

Now with this new zip you should be able to build it at least. I'll send a fixed version wrt autoconf/automake ASAP.
