So

finally i get 2.17.2 working on my edgy box :).
I get the module with this command:

 cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous anoncvs gnome org:/cvs/gnome co -P eog

Mi first question is: I am working with the correct version? Is there a
module called eog-ng or something like that?

eog-ng is a branch in cvs. You can check it out by using

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous anoncvs gnome org:/cvs/gnome co -P -r eog-ng eog
