Re: Can we publicise these two campaigns?

As noted on *Gitlab. Drafts of the of the interviews are now available. *Assume better late then never. Would be cool to seem them published (in a not to distant future).

Ok I see. While I don't see anything particularly with the decision to post the interview on the Engagement Blog I view the post mostly as an interview. Would see it as good to (at least) including a link to the *fundraiser.
gnome.org have been used for spreading community pleas (don't view it as wrong).

The post on the Engagement blog is a follow up to the campaign we ran in December: https://twitter.com/gnome/status/940914200926355456. The article on the Engagement blog includes a link to the fundraiser in two places, so it's not just an interview.

For more context on the Engagement blog vs gnome.org article decision, during Engagement calls, we talked about our broader fundraising strategy and the fact that we don't want to detract donations from Friends of GNOME in the future. We wanted to reserve gnome.org posts for things like Friends of GNOME and other fudraisers that directly impact the Foundation. As a way to still help people like pippin whose efforts are extremely important to GNOME, we decided to do the interviews on the Engagement blog with links to fundraising campaigns and also post about their campaigns using our official GNOME social media accounts.

If you'd like to further discuss the strategy, feel free to add the agenda item to our meeting etherpad and attend one of our Engagement meetings!
