Reminder | GNOME Engagement Meeting Friday, Dec 15th (working meeting)

Hi All,

This is a quick reminder about the GNOME Engagement team meeting tomorrow, Friday, 2017-01-12 (December 8th) at 16:00 UTC. This will mainly be a working meeting.

At that time, join the #engagement channel and join us via video chat. You can join by clicking the link below or dialing in on your phone:

Optional dial in number: 857-216-6156

Please see the agenda here: Engagement Meeting Agenda [1], and here's a copy of the proposed items so far:

Discuss during meeting
* Announce new meeting time
* Celebrating newcomers first contribution
        * Manual or automated. Votes? If manual, who will take charge
        * Discussion of how it will work out (group labels and subscribe to labels)
        * What we need from maintainers' side (Just tag the label on particular issue?)
        * Social media template? (How does the final tweet look like)
        * Account? (GNOME main account or a new separate account for this?)

Do during the meeting
  * GitLab onboarding for existing Engagement Team members
  * Set up an Annual Report page

If you have anything you'd like us to talk about, please add it to the agenda on the etherpad!

Best,
Nuritzi

If you're new to GNOME or the Engagement Team...
We'd love to have you join our meeting and get to know part of the team!

To join the engagement team meeting, make sure that you have an IRC account and join the #engagement channel. IRC setup instructions are here: Getting In Touch [2].

If you want to chat before the call, just email or ping me on IRC: @nuritzi.

Make sure you know what time 16:00 UTC is in your timezone. You can use Time & Date [3] to help you.

If you feel comfortable, add yourself to the "New Member Introductions" section of the agenda. We'd love to say hi and learn more about who you are and what you're interested in.

If you're curious, you can take a look at notes from our previous meetings here: EngagementTeam Meetings [4].

We look forward to meeting you!

Note: if you're new to IRC, you should set up your IRC account at least an hour before the team call since it will take around 15 - 30 minutes to set up. You may want to try using a web-based client, like IRC Cloud [5], first and then ping someone on IRC for help setting up a native client.
