Re: Annual Report Publishing (Action Required)

Hi all,

The draft of the Conferences article is now on the wiki.  Is it also my responsibility to find the appropriate photos for it?  If so, I could use some pointers on that.

Thanks,
Rosanna

Hi Engagement Team,

We are aiming to get the Annual Report out in digital form by Monday, September 14th. In order to meet that deadline, we need your help.

Please respond to this message by EOD Wednesday 9/1 after reading the below.

Here's what we need you to do:

If you see your name in one of the the lists below, reply to me, Oliver, and Zana, letting us know that you see your name, acknowledge what you need to do, and that you either need help meeting your deadline, or can do it by your deadline. If you can no longer do your piece, let us know too so we can find someone else to do it STAT!

We need 2 volunteers: We have two articles / pages that still need an owner. Please let us know if you can help with one of them.

Design: Allan Day is on holiday for about 10 days. We've asked Andrea N. to help us with design/layout the week of the 7th (content will be proofread and finalized by EOD Sept 8th). If anything changes regarding the layout timeline, we'll let you know.

Note that I've included some guidelines for how to complete your article - please follow them!

Thanks and let us know if you have any questions. We're almost there, team! Please help us get this last push done.

Best,
Nuritzi, Oliver & Zana

Need someone to own these pages:

Need to post a draft on the wiki page [1] by Friday, Sept 4th:
It's ok to provide a link to an etherpad instead of a full wiki page, but we need something by this Friday.
Ready for proofreading (@EmilyGonyer &  RosannaYuen, and anyone else who wants to help):
**Proofreaders, please add your name, the date, and the proofreading status (requires further review, no further review necessary), at the bottom of the pages you review.

Guidelines & tips for articles:
  • Post draft asap! Make sure you put your draft on the wiki ASAP so people can start to proofread and give you input. If you don't want to add it to the wiki yet, at least create a page on the wiki and add a link to an etherpad people can view.

  • Include images. PLEASE include photos or images with your post. Two or three options is best. We want your article to be exciting! Make sure that you include things that have the correct licensing. Send me a quick message if you're not sure what "correct licensing" means.

  • Proofread! We need more proofreaders. If you're done with your own article, help someone else out by proofreading theirs.

TIMELINE:

Friday, September 4th = Draft up on wiki page, proofreading begins

Tuesday, September 8th = Final content in, no further revisions. Layout begins.

Monday, September 14th = Digital version ready to publish and send to Board.
