Re: [Ekiga-list] Ekiga microphone / echo test issue; (Mandriva / Pulseaudio)

Dear listbox,
I am a newbee and I cannot understand all the output of your ekiga -d 2, but I have been fighting against EKIGA since feb 2010 on Ubuntu 10.04 I can give you a pair of suggestions:
1. I assume that your mic is working, your alsamixer is setted to input "mic" or "front mic" and that you are able of run the command
aplay
and
arecord,
this one with the 2 variants the c-1 and the c-2 (to check if your card is suffering from the stereo problem)
If you do not understand what I am saying, I will send you the code from home I am now connected to a Win and I cannot remember exactly
2. I assume that if you connect to other VoIP programs you can run them succesfully, like Skype or Twinkle
3. If everything is correct, then you can look for "Packetreceived" running for instance: "ekiga -d 4>output.txt" if Packetsreceived equals to 0, means that your mic is not working in Ekiga and hopefully someone else coudl help you better.
in the meanwhile, Cheers, Stara Posta
