I believed that I had tried the V4L2 driver.

However, when I went through the configuration again, and selected V4L2, 
I got moving picture of my ugly face.

Thanks (real thanks, not "thanks for making me look at my ugly face" :) 
).

However, I still get the error

"Error while starting the listener for the SIP protocol

You will not be able to receive incoming SIP calls. Please check that 
no other program is already running on the port used by Ekiga."
