[Ekiga-list] Ekiga on Debian Lenny

I installed Ekiga 2.0.12 on debian Lenny. Version 3.2.5 is not yet available and I don't feel safe in installing the unofficial Lenny backport.
Everything seems to works fine but

- I was not able to use the ekiga echo service, calling sip:500 ekiga net always produces a "Remote user rejected the call"

- I was succesful in using another echo test
sip:*850301 ekiga net
with codec PCMU

Is there any test I can perform to understand what is going wrong?
