dos2unix is to remove ^M from files ( this problem is usually encountered when you download / checkout / expose the code to windows OS and then move it to linux ). But this shouldnt have happened in case of tar.gz archived package. I guess the archived package was prepared in windows. To the best of my knowledge, I downloaded the code from ekiga website only ( but I am not exactly sure of it ).

I executed dos2unix * in opal folder before ./configure.

Why? Maybe this is the problem.

Where did you get the sources from?
