Hi Frédéric,
1. There was a very recent commit which has a fix for some cameras
(http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2821189&group_id=204472&atid=989748),
maybe it fixes for you, could you test the latest svn/git instead of 3.2.5?
2. Could you also install libv4l (not available in stable I think) and
recompile everything (ptlib/opal/ekiga)?
Thanks,
Eugen

Hello,
I have an Asus Eeepc 1002HA with an integrated webcam. I've installed
a Debian Lenny (stable) system, with a newer 2.6.30 kernel, and the
webcam, an USB one, is well detected :

The camera works with applications like 'camorama' or 'cheese', but
doesn't work with 'ekiga' (nor 'xawtv') : In Ekiga, it's well detected,
but it can't use it, so displaying bouncing ball instead.
I've tried to build the latest released version of Ekiga, the 3.2.5,
from Debian Unstable's package source on Lenny (along with new ptlib
and opal libraries), the new Ekiga doesn't work either with this camera.
I've search a bit about Ekiga and this camera, and other Debian Eeepc
users told me they have the same problem (and are interested resolving
it !)
Here is a part of the debug trace of old Lenny Ekiga (2.0.12), referring to the webcam initialization :

I didn't find equivalent error messages in Ekiga 3.2.5's log.
What could I do to help you, Ekiga devs, to make it work with this
camera ?
Thanks for any tip !
Fred.
