ptlib and opal compile fine on SuSE 11.1 with gcc 4.3.3.

Ekiga is going very well (after disabling ldap) until:

I've seen this before and could not get around it. Any fix?
probably if you disable documentation (disable-doc or something like
that, check in configure)

No, sorry, there is nothing that works. I tried
--disable-schemas-install (a listed option); --disable-documentation;
--disable-doc; --disable-help; and --without-help
Could you try http://markmail.org/message/xxrsax2lkrutlfbd and
subsequent answers in the list? They tell to make a modification
related to pkg-config.

OK, that does it. Thanks. Being a KDE user on a non-debian system, I
normally do not install much in the way of gnome stuff. But I found the
package for gnome-doc-utils. Can Ekiga be made a bit less platform
specific?

I think it could :o), but someone with spare time must implement it :o)

So you had this error until you installed gnome-doc-utils? If yes, we should put it as mandatory dep or see how to deal with it without installing it.

Ekiga runs and connects to the MCU at the other end. The bouncing ball
is transmitted. There is no sound in either direction. (There was no
meeting, but I get a 'welcome' message otherwise.)

I get messages on user login about the sound system not being set up.
There are similar messages with Ekiga starts. The problem is somewhere
in the sound system, and I have not been able to track it down yet.

You need to send the -d 4 output.

Otherwise, there is progress.

:o)
