I'm sorry to hassle you guys with so little information available, but I'm new to Linux (installed Ubuntu a few months ago when Windows died on my home PC, again) and I'm still learning how to resolve / troubleshoot these things. I work for a major developer of H.323 equipment / software, and a couple weeks ago I was doing some interop testing with some of our gear and the 2.x 'comes with Ubuntu 8.0.4' version of Ekiga. After fixing the ehci-hcd issues with my Logitech 5000 ( http://www.quickcamteam.net/documentation/faq/logitech-webcam-linux-usb-incompatibilities ) I had that Ekiga version running great, was impressed at how quickly it got going, and had started playing around. I found a few small interop things I wanted to investigate, but then realized that a version 3.x of Ekiga is available and might already have resolved/changed the issues. I've attempted a couple of times to follow the guide on the wiki ( http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Compile_your_own_SVN_version_of_Ekiga_on_Ubuntu ), but even following it to the letter exactly I still can't get ekiga running. The make and make install go fine for all three packages (ptlib, opal, ekiga, in order) but when I try to run ekiga I get the following in terminal. Anyone have any idea where I should start looking? I'm a newb, so please don't assume I know anything. Thanks in advance for any ideas. -Spencer spencer spencer-desktop:~$ ekiga KickStart(add_spark): EVOLUTION KickStart(add_spark): LDAP KickStart(kick): starting a loop KickStart(kick): looping on BLANK sparks KickStart(kick): EVOLUTION was promoted to FULL KickStart(kick): LDAP was promoted to FULL KickStart(kick): looping on PARTIAL sparks KickStart(kick): ending a loop KickStart(kick): starting a loop KickStart(kick): looping on BLANK sparks KickStart(kick): looping on PARTIAL sparks KickStart(kick): ending a loop Segmentation fault Windows Live™ Hotmail®: Chat.
