Re: [Ekiga-list] Ekiga(Google Voice + Gizmo5) w/o 3minutes limit

I know, but if Ekiga supports this function, that would help users a lot, and more users would use Ekaga.

Sorry but whant you describe is just a TRick , It has nothing to do with standards like SIP & co. So nothing to do with Ekiga.

Recently, people can use google voice + gizmo5 to call to USA free, but there is 3 minutes limit, while no limits for call-in. there are several methods to break the limit:
1. users can login google voice and set up a call. google voice call the user's phone and then call the destination phone after the user picks up the phone. the problem is that users need one computer working.
2. there is a tool, called xGVout. it's a proxy to get the destination number, and simulate users loging in google voice account and set up a call. The problem is still that users need a computer.
3. similar to 2, there is a website, called sipsorcery.com. It looks a public proxy to help users set up a call.
The problem is that users need to fill their account and password on this website
Actually, what 2,3 do is to simulate users online actions, such as loging in google voice account and setting up a call, but they are inconvenient. I wonder if the sip client(such as Ekiga) can do that, that would be great, also makes Ekiga more popular. I guess it's feasible, but not very sure. Any comments?

Best.
