Hi Palo,
I have created 

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=558382

to track that issue. There must be something on your systems that 
destroys pipes AFTER they have been created and used successfully 
already. I am pretty confident we are doing the pipe accesses right...
