New at this....(real new.......basically I suck at Linux...but need a VoIP app I can run )
Downloaded the source files from Ekiga....
During the ./config I had to get a lot of stuff Ekiga needed  (i.e. apt-get )
Biggest deal was the ptlib  (2.10.10) and the opal  (3.10.10)
Finally, it made it through config

Then ran make....

Attached is the history....

It has to be something simple??????????
