Re: [Ekiga-devel-list] ekiga-devel-list Digest, Vol 61, Issue 1

Thank you for the response.
I know that a lot of linux podcasters use Audacity for their recording and mixing, so it seemed like a better solution to me to integrate the phone call capabilities of Ekiga into Audacity as a plugin so that I could record all streams at once. Audacity is optimized for recording high quality audio from a microphone. I don't know if Ekiga has this capability. Since Audacity is KNOWN for recording, I automatically assumed that recording the conversations would be done in Audacity.

Hi,

I do not know much how oggcasts work, so I might be wrong.  Isn't the
following solution envisageable?  You speak to Mr. Stallman with ekiga,
you record your conversation (using the not-yet possibility of ekiga to
record streams), and afterwards you put the file in oggcast syndication.

So why do you need to create a plugin instead of fixing ekiga to accept
conversation recording?
