Hi Yannick!
Thanks for that. Am I visially impaired or is the Wiki not linked from
www.ekiga.org? Let me check how far I will get. I will happily share my
experience on the Wiki once it will actually work for me.
Regards,
Torsten

Hi,
I've a step-by-step which works for ubuntu Gutsy and hardy here:
http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Compile_your_own_SVN_version_of_Ekiga_on_Ubuntu
It should be very close to debian.
I've also almost the same + a chroot here:
http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Talk:Additional_Information
Those documents cover a full installation with as much plugins/options
as possible.
If you want, I can give you an acces to the wiki if you want to document
your work for Debian on the wiki.
Regards,
Yannick

Dear list!
I am currently trying to build the current SVN version of Ekiga on a Debian lenny (testing) system. The system is freshly installed, so it's today's package versions.
My strategy is to use packages where suitable. This worked up to the point where PWLib is needed. I was only able to find a very outdated version even in lenny and sid (1.x versus a recommended 2.1.xx).
So I downloaded PWLib here:
http://www.voxgratia.org/downloads.html
and did
./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-plugins --disable-oss --enable-v4l2 && make && make install
as explained here:
http://www.ekiga.org/index.php?rub=3&pos=0&faqpage=x114.html#AEN132
That worked. Just the built and installed version isn't recognized by Ekiga:
...
checking for scrollkeeper-config... /usr/bin/scrollkeeper-config
checking for PWLib includes in /usr/include/...
checking for read in -lpt... no
Any ideas?
Are there any more detailed build instructions recorded anywhere except the five lines in section 4.2 of the doc. They do not exactly cover it ... I would be happy to share my notes, but I did not find any Wiki or any other place where I could put it.
Regards,
Torsten
