Excuse the uninformed question, but what is the benefit for using the
GIO wrapper instead of the native TagLib stuff? Just curious.
Eventually, I want to use GFile throughout, and avoid passing filenames
around and converting between filesystem encoding and display encoding.
In this case, I think it is just a nice bit of conformity with most
other bits of EasyTAG that are now using GIO rather than stdio. The
Ogg/Vorbis code was ported to use GFile/GIO not so long ago and in a
similar way.
ah, of course.
