Re: [Easytag-mailing] Changing the character encoding of the tags

Hi John,

If the last version of EasyTAG doesn't manage the character encoding automatically for your MP3, you can change the settings manually in the "Tag setting" tab in the preferences windows.
Check if you are using the version 2.0.

By default, ogg and flac tags use the uft-8 encoding. Even if they were written with the wrong encoding, EasyTAG should convert them and save then to the right encoding...

Regards,
Jerome

Many players such as the last Amarok release, accept tags only in Unicode.

I'm greek so the most of my audio files are tagged in ISO-8859-7 so i cannot view the artist name, album etc in my player (Exaile!).

Is there a tool for mass changing the character encoding of mp3, ogg, flac tags into utf-8, in the easytag, or is there something in easytags wishlist?

Thank you.
