Hi Jerome,
In addition, the FC3 package won't install on FC3. It says:
error: Failed dependencies:
libFLAC.so.6 is needed by easytag-1.99.9-1.i386
mpeg4ip >= 1.2 is needed by easytag-1.99.9-1.i386
I do in fact have /usr/lib/libFLAC.so.6, which is a symbolic link to
libFLAC.so.4, which is owned by package flac-1.1.0-7.
I tried to install mpeg4ip from the tar.gz, but when running the
bootstrap I was told:
Error - we have detected a version of faac that has libmp4v2 support
and no copy of mpeg4ip-config. This means faac was built with
faad2 and the libraries will be incompatible.
Please reinstall faac without mp4v2 support
I have no idea what that means. I have installed the Easytag package
with --nodeps to skip those checks, and it seems to work anyway.
regards,
Simon.

Hi Julian,
Indeed and the same problem occurs also for the Fedora Core 2
package. I've replaced the two packages with a new version fixed.

Hi,
This new version contains lot of fixes, but we worked lot of time
mainly to add the support of Unicode for ID3v2 tags with id3lib.
The sources are available from the habitual page
http://easytag.sourceforge.net
Fedora Core 4 package has wrong dependencies - although it is complied
with --disable-mp4, it depends on mpeg4ip>=1.2.
