[Easytag-mailing] Help using EasyTag

Hi all,

I tried to use EasyTag for the first time and I cannot figure how it
works for the life of me.

I have a folder with ogg files, the songs from a CD I ripped with
Sound Juicer. The problem with the existing tags is that authors and
the year are not set properly. This is a compilation and for each song
the author tag is set to "Various". The author is part of the title
(and file name).

I figured that the first step would be to use the "Fill Tag" scanner
to set the tags right. The next step would be to use "Rename File and
Directory". Right?

For the first step I got the format string right (I can see that it
parses the file name properly). How to I write the tags now? If I
click the "Scan File(s)" button nothing happens (all the files are
selected). No tag is changed.

Any clues?

Are there any tutorials on EasyTag out there?
