Not really beyond what's in CVS; I rather suck at the Internet  
lately.  Davyd's absolutely right, the old, clear-text authentication  
mode was removed in favor of the challenge/response system detailed  
at http://www.livejournal.com/doc/server/ljp.csp.auth.html.  The old  
system is notoriously easy to implement, and could probably be tacked  
on without much difficulty.
