Potential patch for gnome-panel < 2.16

Hi distributors,

There's a patch in bugzilla for gnome-panel < 2.16 (before we switched
to GtkRecent).

Bug 343812 – Recent documents list disappears when adding or removing
bookmarks

I'm not going to test it since I don't have the time to update old
versions of GNOME, but it might be of interest to some of you. AFAICT,
the patch can't harm, but I didn't test it.

I'm closing the bug, but if any of you is okay with the patch and
deploys it, then please commit it to the relevant branches (gnome-2-14,
but maybe also gnome-2-12 and previous ones...).
