You can make an adjustable Layers window. There are two ways to start Dia: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dia\bin\diaw.exe" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dia\bin\diaw.exe" -integrated -integrated places all the tools in the Dia window.
Public Service Announcement: This changed in master a long time ago, now you use --classic to get the non-integrated UI, Long term it's unclear how long the classic UI will be around I recently (within the last few months) changed quite a bit about layers in master (though the UI is essentially unchanged) Resizeable layer pane is definitely something I want to do unfortunately the layout is currently quite complex and my (fairly restricted) "dia time" has been spent working on bug fixes and refactoring rather than features
If you omit that switch all the pallets and tools are in separate gloating windows. Ctrl-L calls up the Layers window as a separate pane that can be adjusted. I'm using it almost every day to help me with a huge project I've been working on for the last six months. I only use the portable version. CAD programs are just too complicated for me to work efficiently...... I need to focus on the project, not the program ! I humbly request one small but hugely helpful addition to your Dia program........ Could you please make the Layers palette on the right, re-sizable (horizontally) ? So that it can be made wider, allowing longer Layer names to be visible :D This is not a complaint. This is a polite request. I would be very grateful :D Kind regards Kevin _______________________________________________ dia-list mailing list dia-list gnome org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/dia-list FAQ at http://live.gnome.org/Dia/Faq Main page at http://live.gnome.org/Dia_______________________________________________ dia-list mailing list dia-list gnome org https://nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fmail.gnome.org%2Fmailman%2Flistinfo%2Fdia-list&data=02%7C01%7C%7Cc4443200f78d4713204f08d762f327bf%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637086668790076078&sdata=paO3JNjSCpHkXXSvN2jiLtrWlRMIxT1BPTQvdZZ5kbg%3D&reserved=0 FAQ at https://nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Flive.gnome.org%2FDia%2FFaq&data=02%7C01%7C%7Cc4443200f78d4713204f08d762f327bf%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637086668790076078&sdata=LL985wP5myp%2FZ7WtQOtk8kbgJ%2FU6OgUed6JeX6Eo448%3D&reserved=0 Main page at https://nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Flive.gnome.org%2FDia&data=02%7C01%7C%7Cc4443200f78d4713204f08d762f327bf%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637086668790076078&sdata=C4er7MibN62oXAN2TVFDhaTiDB5dByOZskmWgAvl%2BPM%3D&reserved=0
