Dear All, First I want to shortly introduce myself: My name is Konrad Ackerschott and I am studying information science at the "Hochschule Bonn Rhein-Sieg“ in Germany. I am currently writing my bachelor thesis on the topic of the "technological stand of open source business software". I make a comparison of 94 different software systems and their technical differences. So, I have some questions to you about Dia and it would be great if you could briefly answer (some of) them. If you wish, I will send you the summary of my analysis after completion in September 2019. 1. Question: Is a/are (programming) framework(s) used in the software? If yes, which (one)?
Initial reaction: define I guess the answer you looking for is gtk2, but working towards gtk3/4
2. Question: Is the software following (a) architecture pattern/s? If yes, which (one)?
Got any examples? Probably no
3. Question: Is the software scalable? How is it possible ? (clustering and/or virtualization?)
Err that really doesn't seem to apply here?
4. Question: Is the software using any standardized APIs? If yes, which ones?
Again not sure how you want this answered, we use an XML based format (but that isn't an API) and GLib/Gtk to implement the application (which are APIs but not "standards")
Thank you in advance for your answers. If you have any questions regarding my survey feel free to contact me anytime. Yours sincerely, Konrad Ackerschott
